The second-largest science centre in Canada, the Montréal Science Centre is helping visitors of all ages acquire an understanding of science and technology.

The Montréal Science Centre (MSC) operates with the mandate to help visitors of all ages acquire an understanding of science and technology for use in building their future. Under the direction of Canadian astronaut Julie Payette, the MSC is the only science centre in Québec and the second-largest in all of Canada.

Offering numerous activities and attracting more than 688,000 visitors per year, the MSC provides a dynamic and interactive learning experience for the general public, educational groups and businesses alike.

The Montréal Science Centre highlights and explains recent Canadian innovations and inventions both within its exhibition halls and in its public areas to highlight and make visitors more aware of the know-how of Montréal’s local industries.

In an effort to rejuvenate, support, and stimulate the teaching of science, the Science Centre, in collaboration with the ministère de l'Éducation du Québec, has created education programs for primary and secondary school students. It has also developed a careers-in-science program, with the goal of making current information about careers in science and technology available to young people.

A team of consultants in the fields of education, communications, science and technology assists the programming team in developing its exhibition programs and its educational and cultural activities.

Additionally, the MSC offers event space with unique views of the city and the St. Lawrence River.
