1557 Hollis Street

Halifax, Nova Scotia

The 1.3 acres (0.5 hectare) Ralston Building site was acquired by Canada Lands Company in 2017. Formerly owned by Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC). Decomissioning of the building is planned, to be followed by a public consultation process to inform preperation of a development concept. Planning work for the site will include heritage commemoration considerations and will identify use, building form and urban design which comply with existing municipal planning requirements.

The consultation process for redevelopment of this site began in late summer of 2018. This process will introduce the community to Canada Lands, provide information about the site and facilitate opportunities for the public to meet and engage with the planning team regarding the future of the project.
